Hello there. I have been a teacher for over ten years now. I could write a book about the funny, profound, and interesting things children do and say. Children love stories--both stories read to them as well as stories they read on their own. I love stories too, and enjoy reading them to children. I also enjoy reading the great classics of renown authors and sharing what I have read with others.
Words are a delight to me as well. For years now, I have liked writing down unfamiliar words and learning them in order to add to my vocabulary and thus adding colours of meaning to life. You can read about intriguing words and helps from A Word from Wally on this site.
I also enjoy writing and illustrating some of my own stories. Along with this I make storybook dolls of classic children's tales. For example, I made dolls of the Three Little Pigs to show the children as I tell the tale. I have sold a number of sewing crafts and plan to post some of these pictures here. I have a number of had-made crafts, dolls, and books available for purchase.
I have traveled many lands from North America to the Caribbean, to Asia and beyond! I could tell you many stories, and perhaps you will hear some of those tales on this site.
I am quite fond of healthful eating. I call myself a plant-based whole-foodist. This blog also contains Health advice from Sidney. He is a storybook character of mine who greatly enjoys nutritious eating. Food stories and nutrition facts can also be read about on this site.
