Purpose

So what is the purpose of this blog anyway?  Well, quite a few  actually.  I have had it on my mind to have one for quite some  time.  Let me list a few.

1. The contemplation, thoughts, analysis, etc. of children's stories or fairy tales.

2. The contemplation, personal thoughts, renderings, etc. about particular classical works of literature.

3. The sharing of real life experience stories, such as travel experiences, childhood stories, etc.

4. Sharing with others storybooks I have written and perhaps my personal thoughts about them.  Along with this I may share some of the characters I have invented and a bit about their personality.

5. Sharing what I have learned about the stories of real people in history, such as Lewis and Clark and their adventures; or famous composers such as J. S. Bach; or famous poets/authors such as Dickens, Kipling, Wordsworth, Browning, Longfellow  and tidbits about their lives.

6. Promoting books I have read and why I find them good and delightful.  I may even have a book of the month to encourage others to read and contemplate a particular story.

7. Promoting a business I would like to have in the coming year. I have written and illustrated a couple books and would like to have them published.  I also make dolls, bears, and other sewing items and crafts.  I would like to open a store in the coming year to sell, for example, fairy tale dolls I have made--or dolls to go along with some of the characters in my books.

8. Sharing health, gardening, and nutritious eating stories that I believe may be a benefit to someone else.  I may call that heading of this part of the blog Sidney's Nutritious Advice.  Sidney is the name of one of my characters, and he may pop up from time to time to give his nutritious advice.

9. Sharing vocabulary words for  our augmentation of useful words in writing or conversation.  Wally the Weasel is another of my characters, and he may also pop into this blog to share  A "Word" from Ollie Owl.
